Fighters The UFC Needs To Sign

Over the last 20 years, aside from the online sports gambling industry, no niche has grown as largely as the MMA, and in particular the UFC. From selling out local hockey arenas in the early 1990s to selling out stadiums such as the Bell Center in Montreal, the UFC has attracted over a million fans. Throughout the years, the UFC has had much talent pass through its company, yet there are still hundreds more that havent been signed yet. Here are three MMA standouts, that the UFC needs to get their hands on.

1. Dan Henderson Despite entering his 40s, Dan Henderson is literally on top of the world right now in the MMA. Currently apart of the UFCs rival promotion Strikeforce, Henderson has been in the UFC before. However, it appears that although he hasnt fared too well in the UFC in years past in both the light heavyweight and middleweight classes, Henderson has found his stride late in his career.

At age 40, many critics may believe that Dan Henderson is closer to the end of his career as opposed to the pinnacle. Yet with that in mind, consider that Henderson just won the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Championship, and you can see why he may be a good draw in the UFC.

2. Pat Curran The current Bellator Lightweight star has been building up his resume for the last few years. Curran was the winner of Bellators season two Lightweight tournament in which he was able to defeat several tough opponents. Considering nobody wants to see another Gray Maynard vs. Frankie Edgar fight, Curran would be the perfect fighter to come in and take the Lightweight title away from Edgar.

3. Antonio Silva One of the most underrated MMA fighters in the entire world, Antonio Silva would be the perfect acquisition for the UFC, after his most recent victory. During the Strikeforce Grand Prix Heavyweight tournament, Silva drew a first round matchup against the Last Emperor Fedor Emelianenko. However, it was Silva who emerged victorious in the first round. Although Silva could very well get eliminated in the next round of the Grand Prix tournament, the UFC could sign him to a contract. The justification being, that Silva defeated Fedor the one star fans have wanted to see come to the UFC for quite some time. Thus, Dana White and the UFC could argue that they dont need Fedor, since he is beatable.
